Artist Bio: Coconino Metalsmith is the creative work of a Flagstaff local who has spent a lifetime crafting unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. A graduate of Northern Arizona University with a BFA in Metalsmithing, this artist is inspired by the shapes found in nature, architecture, and everyday objects. Working with metals and repurposed materials, Coconino Metalsmith creates functional, fun, and rugged works of art for you to use and wear. The joy of the process comes from the design and challenge of construction, as well as the emotional connection each piece has with its owner. Each work is handmade with joy, reflecting your personal style and taste. For May's First Friday, we’ll be celebrating Bike Month, so come check out bike-inspired selections, along with many other original custom pieces that reflect the beauty of Flagstaff and its natural surroundings.
